Coolant hoses

My coolant hoses will run within a couple of inches of the exhaust headers; will this cause a problem?
I'm struggling for an alternative route as I am running them to where the oil cooler is.

As an alternative I could remove the oil cooler, I suppose and run a metal tube through the engine bay.

Mine were running straight over the top of my headers. I have now welded up a stainless tube to take the worst of it. I still have one silicone hose within 2" of a header, but it will be getting cooled with loads of fresh air... I guess time will tell!

If you're worried then why not get some of that silver-backed cloth? I paid about a fiver for a 500mmx500mm piece which will cover those getting near my turbo

Long live RWD...
