Audi Gearboxes
Hi all,
Am hoping that there are peeps on here that know audi gearboxes.
I have an Audi 80 1.8S which is a 100bhp carb engine, the gearbox in it is getting very noisey with it whining at high speeds.
I have a spare audi gearbox to hand but its from a later audi 80 and its also from a audi TDi.
would this gearbox fit the audi 80's 1.8 engine? I think it will but will the clutch be compatable?
Another thing that may be an issue is that the diesel gearbox may be to highly geared for the petrol engine, does anyone think this will be a
problem?
Am going to have to do something soon as we will unable to turn up the radio to cover the noise soon!
Any help or opinons would be appreciated!
