cossie engine number
can anyone tell me what year this engine number is from
YBT3759A
Engine code is:
either N5F or could be N5E
i know that its got to be between 1992-1996 but i need to know what year and possibly what month.

YBT is the code for the big turbo engine, which was from 92 to 96, and fitted in the Escort Cosworth. That engine number doesn't relate to any
year as far as I can see. Fords usually have a two letter code in there engine numbers that state the year. If the numbers you have put as N5 was in
fact NS then it would be November 1992, sorry cant be more help. Cheers Ray

When i was looking for my 2.9, i originally bought the cosworth V6 2.9, and found looooads of information on the net.
Being a cult engine (and car) there should be loads on there about serial numbers, common faults, transplant details etc.
It took me about 3 months to get all of the information i had, then changed to the normal V6 cologne.
Be patient with the search, it takes a while to get all of your information together.
