Pinto oil leak from bell housing

Had a small oil leak for a while now. Not enough to worry about just annoying.

Had a look under the car today and noticed it seemed to be coming from the bellhousing where there is the gap between the bottom of the engine and bellhousing.

The crankcase is breathing fine so I dont think its pushing oil out because of that.

There was no oil leaks when I put the engine and gearbox together (few years ago now)

Any ideas? As said its not a massive amount but Im thinking about selling the car and dont really want to sell it with an oil leak.

Thanks

Check the cam cover, if your lucky it may be that and the oil is running down the bell housing . If not it sounds like the rear main oil seal is leaking, engine out and flywheel off job.

I have the self same issue too

Again not bad enough to contemplate taking it all apart yet, but irritating all the same - particularly when I spent a lot of time and effort rebuilding it with all new seals and gaskets too.

On the + side the sump hasn't rusted yet
