4AGE 20v ST Cams - Value?

Just picked my newly ported and flowed head up from Hellier Performance in Salisbury complete with fast road cams

Excellent service and v. quick turnaround. Can't wait to get it on the car and rolling roaded.

I was thinking of selling the old cams which are in good condition. Any ideas what they might be worth?

Likewise got a 212mm flywheel going as well. Is £40 a reasonable asking price for this?

BTW, had a good nose around a Caparo T1 that was in for a new ceramic exhaust. Apparently its 120db on the noise test and thats mostly gearbox noise!.

Track day car you can't use on a track anyone?

No idea cus I've never seen any for sale! Very small market for them unfortunately.

The flywheel may be a bit lighter than a 16V flywheel so could be an upgrade as well as being bigger than earlier engines (200 up to 212mm). The blacktop flywheel is the one people would be after though

The VVT mechanism is usually the part that wears on a 20V head.

Oh and be sure to post the dyno sheet when you've done it!

I'll post the results when I have them.

They did a port and polish - Cleaned up the intake as not much to do there but took loads out of the exhaust side.

I've got 264 duration cams (both sides) so should get some reasonable gains, hopefully 15-20bhp.

Cost wise - don't ask Cams approx £600, Head was £600 but will be closer to 2k for all the bits I had done.

Yep the costs soon add up if you do a complete engine refresh at the same time. I'm certainly interested in your dyno plot with the inlet cam fitted. I didn't fit one to mine as I was already in the process of fitting the Rotrex kit as well.

Hopefully you will notice quite a difference as mine became much more responsive and pulled very hard after the VVT mechanism switched.
