Aluminium paint
Some of you may remember a while back, i asked about polishing my rocker cover. Well i have now decided that i dont have enough time to do it as i
want to get the engine in the chassis at the weekend. So, can i get some paint that i can just spray straight on to ali (preferably from halfrauds as
i am passing later) without any primer or whatever you need to prep ali with?
Iv seen some on fleabay but would like to do it after work today while the weather is nice
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I think you always need to use an etching primer on aluminium as the paint flakes off otherwise. But I could be wrong ....

Yep - etch primer (I think), anyhow - if you skimp on it you'll only regret it later.... why not put it in as is, then when you have some time,
take the rocker covers off and polish them properly?

Yeah, due to the nature of aliminum you do need to do something in the form of an aliminum suitable primer to get any sort of performace.
- But theres are available all over, including frauds.
