micro dynamics EMS5 turbo ign management

has any one used this,it seems to tick all the bookes for a turbo motor on lotus carbs, its from demon tweeks,210quid,
i was going to run a dizy that retards the ign but you can only go to 5psi safly.
can anyone tell me if this is worth it,
carpmart has the same kind of set up as what im trying to acheve, but he uses escort rst ecu,i dont know wether it is going to hard sorting the wireing out,i would need a loom as well.
what do you think??
thanks jamie

The results of my google is that this is a very old system, you tune with variable pots and still need to buy a MAP sensor.

Megajolt is cheaper
Megajolt is more flexible
Megajolt is well supported
Megajolt can connect to the existing distributor and coil, you just lock down the base plate.

Can you see where this is going, I,m running megasquirt BTW, been very pleased with it over the last 5 years.

Regards Mark

Which makes me wonder why you are asking here?

My vote is for megasquirt, it's been running my Zetec turbo installation just fine for the last two years. Not sure what your mate means by it being too slow?

One thing to note though is that is does require a good deal of reading and setting up, so you have to be prepared to put the effort in.

Tom

Well, that's the problem with forums, it can be difficult to predict what sort of replies you will get, especailly when you tell us about Ike, who knows the score, and who thinks that equipment that lots of people here use is 'too slow' WTF that means.

Thanks for your U2U by the way, consider this a reply to it

John
