take the crank bolt out, put it through the centre of the trigger wheel and bolt it on in the correct position in relation to the sensor.

Sometimes the flywheel is used as trigerwheel by drilling small 36-1 holes on the side!

Not a good idea as it will upset the balance! All well and good if it was designed that way by the manufacturer, but not a diy mod!

a bit late now but...
to fit a ring type one most people stick the crank pulley in a lathe and make a bit for the ring to sit on, then bolt or wels it on (welding
doesn't always work - depends what the pulleys made of)
you should be able to get a pulley rebalanced for £15 - 20
or you can get a custom / aftemarket pulley thats made to fit a trigger wheel

all I'll say is, as a 1 off its the about the same as one of uncle Ron's cars
if I made 100 of them I guess they'd be a a bit cheaper than the cossie WRC ones on ebay

thanks lads, its my fault i thort there was more meat on the ring gear one so i could tap it,the other way would have been get a steel pulley but thats
50quid,so for another 20 i got one with a 11mm hole in the middle,i will also tap 4 holes into the steel thick washer in the middle of the pulley,so
if any one wants a ring gear type i have one
