Leaking water pump core plug

The water pump on the westfeild (CVH) is leaking from what looks like a core plug of sorts.
- Its an odd shape, but seems to be pressed in and is weaping coolent all around.

As far as i know the pump was basicaly new on the car when i bought it (6months ago) so im not sure why its gone as such.

However i was just wondering if theres anything i can do to replace/repair the plug/pump or if i just need to replace it with another new one?

Most leaks mean a New pump......
These holes are there to let you know that the shaft is worn. Better a small leak than a cooked block!

Maybe you right, but as i say, when i bought the car 6months ago i was told it was basicaly a new pump. And although its seen a bit of salt spray which has ages it looks since i bought it (when it looked new) its done very few miles.

This is the leaking plug.

Gahh. They keep on coming up with new things to spend money on dont they these kitcar jobbies. Spent all of yesterday repairing a hole sump!
