If I screw the idle mixture screw in does it richen or weaken the mixture?

If I remember correctly it is an air bleed, so screwing in should richen the mixture.

I have just spoken to Bogg Bros and they say it is the other way round. Screwing it in weakens it. So which is correct?

I've checked on www.kawasaki.com, you can get the parts diagrames from there. It's definitely an air bleed in the C1 carb. What year is
your engine?
I've got the kawasaki workshop manual somewhere at home, I can have a look and give you the definitive answer.

I am not sure what year engine they came off as I bought them from Boggs as a complete kit. It is the one with a TPS on and have been informed it is a
C model.
Please can you have a look in your manual and let me know. I have an MOT booked 1st thing tomorrow so would like to know by then, because my emissions
are out
Many thanks
Phil

No, screwing it does weaken the mixture. I played with mine whilst the car was on the machine at SVA and inadvertently unscrewed them and I remember
him telling me I'd failed. Until I persuaded him to let me turn them out again.

Screwing in certainly leans it out on my ZX6R carbs [mikunis].

Screwing leans the out. Boggs recommends 3 turns out.
