Spend the same money on a bike pump Blake. It may work ok with a Facet and regulator set at 1.5psi but there have been plenty of fuel issues documented. Bike pumps are low pressure but provide high volume. Restricting the pressure of a Facet down to the required pressure may lead to fuel starvation due to insufficient flow

You should be looking for 1.5psi. I think they cut off just after that.
There's a similar thread here

i had a search for bike pumps earlier, and the zx9r ones seemed to be in-tank ones (don't fancy cutting holes in my tank for one) plus i've already got a facet pummp, and my chassis already has a handy bracket welded on lol

also a forum search for zx9r pressure and bike fuel pump pressure brought up no results at all

have you got any specs on the bike pumps (pressure, flow etc) just so i can compare.

Pretty much any external pump from a 600cc plus bike will do the job just fine. I've run an R1 pump with GSXR600 carbs before now

I'll second the bike pump - I had a Facet pump and a decent Filter King filter/regulator. It struggled when wound down far enough to get the right pressure. Replaced with a pump from a 1000cc carb bike, plus an in-line filter.

It just works - no fuss, right pressure, no fuel starvation.

No probs mate. I've just had a look in the workshop manual for testing a GSXR600 fuel pump. That quotes the pump needs to meet or exceed 1L / min so thats at least 60L / hr!!!

cool, i'm surprised they need that much! how fast would you need to be going to use a litre of fuel every minute?! lol

see, this confuses me even more though, while i agree a bike pump is the logical choice, i've already got a facet interupter pump, which is specced at 30 us gallons per hour, which is 113 litre per hour.

seems well up to the job, but you say there's fuel issues documented, can't seem to find anything on the forum search. well, no posts at all come up when i search for bike fuel pump pressure. i know there's been loads of mention of it before, can't find any specifics. seems well up to the pressure though, and well up to the flow
