Ebay pistons
hi,
Am looking to order some pistons and rods for my Duratec build but does anyone knwo any more about these ones on ebay?? worth fitting or not??

Depends if you're going turbo or not. If you're not going forced induction a CR of 8.5:1 will lose you loads of power.
If you're going forced induction they look spot on though it depends on whether the bore will need enlarging / honing... It says in the add
they have three sizes of pistons (presumably to compensate for small bore changes during engineering work)...

got a rotres charger sitting here i fancy whacking on.
Also thought i may aswell go oversize too, just dont want to spend the money if they are pants.....

thats a nice deal! 8:5:1 doesnt mean laggy if you having a corect turbo.Fit GT28 and its gonna pull like train in all rpm and in any gear!

i dont think you will need the steel rods as well,i thort the duratec rod are good for turboing,just get some forges for 500quid
|

If you haven't decided on an ECU yet the guys at OEMX have done a lot of dev work with the Rotrex on a Duratec. They are also working with inlet
restrictors to shape the power delivery to suit your needs.
Also don't lower the CR of your engine too much as the Rotrex works very well with high CR.
