I would have a chat with Phil at ExtraEFI about the box of tricks you need.

For myself once you get your head around megasquirt its not at all hard, you will need to add a wideband lamda sensor and controller then using the tools, either auto tune or megalogviewer the car will set itself up once you have provided a rough base map.

Megasquirt will suit some but not others.....

It's by no means an 'easy' conversion, but can be very rewarding. You will hear some people say 'I hate it, and wish I'd never touched it (see commenst from Jamster), and others who think it's fantastic..........

Tb's on a duratech work very well....get some bike TB's that can be spaced, look for a diameter IRO 42mm -48mm (I would go smaller if it were me for possibly better low end performance) - GSXR750 / 1000 Spring to mind.......

For me, I found the entire install full of ups and downs, some frustrations to overcome, but I learnt so much about fuel injection....

If you want to set it up yourself rather than on a rolling road, you will also need to budget for a wideband controller, (£200 - LC1, techedge, etc).....But with some patients, you can get good results....

On our last rolling road day the operator told me not to touch anything on my map as it was as close as he could get it on the rolling road....so it can be done.

Good luck.

Paul.

MS1 is all you need to run a Duratech on Megasquirt. M-Tech will supply and fit/tune the system on bike TBs if you want them too.

Megasquirt still is a DIY ECU - the costs are lower than the others because you don't get technical support phone lines (although some vendors are very helpful - Phil at ExtraEFi being one), and it might seem a little "hobbyist" compared to the likes of Omex, Emerald, etc - but thats the point. Its aimed at those who know one end of an injector from the other (or want to learn) and assumes that you can wield a soldering iron.

Hopefully I will have mine up and running by the time you are close to getting yours sorted.

Should be fairly straight forward, the most difficult bit is to get the spark map sorted
