Radiator Q
I have had a problem with my little 1.0 polo radiator ( ) as the bottom hose will not go on as the chassis is in the way and the steering rack is
right behind it.
I have thought of two solutions:
1) Mount the radiator verticle (core goes up and down rather than side to side) which could cause a blockage in the radiator over time.
2) Buy a new radiator as the 1.0 polo one is hardly going to be efficient in cooling a 3.6 litre beast.
If the later, i need to fint a new rad with the inlet/outlets preferabely at the top and need to be able to get one for less than pocket money.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Every one has the same problem with the bottom hose and the polo rad.
Its just a case of routing around it.

I suggest you look at this.
How much space do you have - this will determine which radiator will fit.
I have a SAAB 9000 radiator, believed to be good, going spare and very cheap - I can measure if interested.

Not sure if you will find a rad with both inlet and outlet at the top as it would make it difficult to tell the top hose from the bottom hose
Mine is pretty much like those above with two 90 bends forming a sort of "S"

Agreed.
Much like Big_Wasa I made an even tighter 'S' shape using copper York fittings. These attached to the rad and the other pipes with a short
length of silicon.
The OD of 1.25" York fittings is close enough to 32mm to give a good seal.
Hope that helps,
James

Thanks guys. 02GF74, if you could measure the rad, that would be great
