Polo radiator

What is the biggest engine they would be capable of cooling?

I have one from a 1.0 (i think) but was thinking about getting a better one but have very little to spend at the moment and i dont want to make the brackets for the radiator i have then find i need a new one and have to make all new brackets.

I saw one on fleabay yesterday for a 1.6 polo GTI but that was 26" wide

How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

How about two polo radiators, one behind the other (with the front one turned round so the hose connection point forwards) then just take the outlet from the back one and plumb it into the inlet of the one in front etc in effect it will give you a double core both together would only still be only about 3 inches thick

Actually quite a common thing -

Often referred to as stacked radiators or a radiator sandwich

I reckon the 1.0 polo one will happily cool 260hp, don't know above that.

mine cools a 200hp XE engine and it NEVER gets even slightly warm

Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion retro car restoration and tuning
