release bearing (again)
sorry for the post as im sure this has been covered to death!!
i have a 2.0l blacktop engine a type 9 from a 1989 1.6l sapphire and a flywheel/ clutch kit from a 1.8 zetec my question is which release bearing do i
use i have been told to use a CCT133 from a capri but have also heard of others using the 1.8 zetec release bearing?
so my question is
1.could i use the 1.8 zetec?
2. if not could i use the 1.6l pinto from the sapphire?
3. if no to these there can i buy a CCT133
pref online?
many thanks in advance,
Lewis.

I am sure the zetec bearing wont fit the t9 clutch arm.
The t9 bearing not being as long, it puts it nearer to the clutch. I think this alters the leverage ?
There is a guy selling the cct133 on ebay at £17 posted. Not the best quality as the bearing is not 100% centered on the carrier. And only his word
that its a cct133.

Got mine from Quinton Hazel local shop (CCT133 is a QH part number). Mondeo Zetec 1.8 flywheel with mondeo 1.8 pressure plate and spinner. Type9 box.
CCT133 release bearing worked fine. Clutch did not handle the power for long before slipping and had flywheel redrilled for sierra clutch and pressure
plate. CCT132 release bearing works with this combo and has done on silvertop, blacktop and currently ST170 zetec.
