Type 9 V6 - Is this right???...
Hi all,
Have fitted my spacer to my V6 gearbox and bolted back up with the pinto bellhousing, and am a little confused - the input shaft still sticks out past
the front face of the bell housing.... I was expecting the spacer plate to put it in the same position relative to the front face as it is with the
Pinto g'box. What is sticking out is the the non-splined section - any thoughts?? - did everyone else have this who has converted?

I'm pretty sure the input shaft protrudes pround of the bellhousing flange on a normal type 9 doesn't it?
I vaguely remember my old one not sitting lfat on the ground when I tried to stand it upright on its bellhousing.

My Standard type 9 sits flat on the floor on it bell housing i.e. the input shaft does not protrude. However this is a standard box not set up for
V6

when i put the vauxhall bellhousing on my type 9, it sticks out by about 10mm. don't know if that has any relevance to pintos or not, but mine
does anyway

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Only spotted it coz the one I've taken out sits flat and the V6 needs chocking off the floor....

My MT75's stick out about 10mm, and the MT75 and T9 are interchangable on the zetec, so I'd expect the same protrusion.
