rounded sump bolt
Like above, just been out to drain the oil and the plug is pretty rounded, even the mole grips wont get it,
anyone else had this problem, looks like its a magnetic bolt, also it may have been knocked as the sump area looks a little indented

Weld a nut or bolt to it and just undo, then grind off.

yup stillsons
or just get a pump to suck the oil out via the dip stick hole --- local yacht chandlers will stock them at a very good price.

From machine mart a bolt extractor made by irwin. SOOOOO good, got a reverse flute inside. Yet to find something it has not been able to remove.

Another vote for the Irwin extractors - I have both the normal and the expansion set - I just wish they did some even smaller ones sometimes...

Whack a smaller socket on it ( twelve sided one maybe a imperial one say 1/2" for a 13mm nut or even a 12mm).

When you have rounded it off completely with the stilsons then weld on a nut . Works every time

There are special sockets for just this eventuality. When I did this on a zetec sump a mate borrowed one from another mate who owned a garage so
don't know where u'd buy one from but they do exist and work well. Second to that easiest thing is to weld a ring spanner on and use a
bar to get it off.
