"The Pinto" :D

"The Pinto became known as the barbecue that could seat four."

clicky here

Made me giggle. Seems everyone's got it in for poor old pinto's at the moment!

Cue arguement about pinto vs. zetec vs. V8, soon to blow out of proportion and erupt in CEC vs. BEC........

POPCORN!

PS - just noticed the Lotus S4 next page along...

To be fair MSN don't know a great deal about cars, look at no 42!

Admittedly they don't have a lot of torque and drink petrol but they make up for it by being the nearest thing to a BEC you can buy from a stealership!

I remember that model from the 70s as Ralf Nader took it upon himself to have a go at all the US motor companies and there short comings, i think that he is possible still at it somewhere,

The problem with the Pinto was the fuel tank going pop when rear ended , easy solved dont get rear ended Simples!

He also had a good go at the AMC Pacer too.

I have just noticed the S4 bit , i had one and it was a great little car as i built it and it took me all over Europe in 1971 with not a problem, scooped up a cyclist in Holland, no damage to car or cyclist fortunatly.

They got the Metro in at number 18. How did AR manage to sell over 2 million of them if they were so disappointing?

And the Jag XJ220 at no. 28. If that's disappointing I'll have a big helping of disappointment please.

It looks like a rehash of the book of crap cars (very funny read). Wasn't the NSU entry something like - never name a car after a venerial disease.
