CLUTCH RELEASE/THRUST BEARING

I'm going to be mating a type 9 to a Zetec engine.

I want to replace the thrust bearing before I do this, which is the best to use the standard Sierra one or I understand the Capri one may be a better option.

Also how much play is acceptable on the input shaft just want to check.

You want a longer bearing such as the QH cct133 there was a guy selling them on ebay but I can not find it at the mo'

The standard bearing on a Fwd cover plate will reduce clutch travell by about 20mm

CT 133

Off a capri is longer than the sierra one,
if dont you will run out of clutch travel.
