water pump ?

this is a omega water pump on the bay its a 12v pump. anyone no if this is the main water pump for the engine or what its used for.

those are used to circulate water when engine ir turned off so it cools evenly. also used on water cooled turbos.

i dont think it would be enough to cool a running engine.

It is used to circulate water from one side of the rad to the other.
My car has an omega v6 rad.
