don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

If it is in standard tune most sports 600 carbs will be fine - they tend to be 36-37 mm. Bigger bikes are around 40mm, and maybe a bit better, but are
also quite a bit more expensive.
I've got ZX6Rs on my 2.0 Zetec and it works really well, though it hasn't been on a dyno so no I've no idea how much power it has.
Having said that it seems to keep up OK with other similar cars with standard 2.0 Zetecs on TBs etc.

I have used Suzuki GSXR 750 Throttle bodies as they are the same size as the very expensive Jenvey TB's.
They are also very easy to separate and re- space so long as you get one's from the early 2000's mine are 2001 model later ones
can't be split- you need to bear this in mind whichever you buy.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

ZX7R ZX9R ZZR1100, R1 etc all 40mm
Mine made 167bhp with ZX9R carbs fitted but not correctly jetted, gone now to make way for a TB conversion.

I wouldnt rebuild it. It will cost you more than a new engine. Guess how I know.
Clean it and give it a full service, fit it and kill it and then stick another in. Its the way to go with modern engines.

mate you need to get down the rr asap. i have got a 1600 pinto on zx6r carbs and it was dangerously underfueling at anything above 4k. infact it was
underfueling so much they wouldnt even attempt a power run until it was sorted.
they managed to get nearly 30% more power out of the engine once they were properly setup.
iwent to atspeed racing they are a bloody good bunch of chaps.
i must advise everyone. never ever fit bike carbs without budgeting for a proper rr setup.
forget about venturi sizes etc etc. the best way to work out what bike carbs you need for a car engine is to match the hp of the bike engine to the
car engine. all this is information off an engine tuner with over 30 years rr experience.

I'd agree with Big Wasa - there's little point rebuilding a Zetec and to be honest they dont tend to go wrong. I'd change the
cambelt before putting it in though unless you know for sure it has been changed - go for the kit that includes the tensioner spring etc. Might be
worth fitting a new water pump from an 1800 too if your engine is a 2L - the 1.8 water pump rotates the other way around and this item is behind the
cambelt so a pig to get at in the car.

I'm sure you are right about power, and I will get a it on an RR at some point.
Mine is running a bit rich if anything though. I set it up with an AFR meter and have a fairly good AFR across the rev range.
I've done a couple of trackdays with this setup and have had no probs.
Atspeed look good and are fairly close to me. How many hours did you need to get yours set up?
