Zetec:swapping starter motor to inlet side??

How hard to do?
Reason is that my next Spitfire conversion (to replace the one I rolled ) really needs a better exhasut manifold, and the existing starter motor position is VERY limiting.
The best solution is probably to swap the starter to the inlet side. How hard can it be??
Guess I will need a different bellhousing, plus a hydraulic clutch slave? Any ideas on costings, I guess I can use the mondeo CSC but will need an adaptor/spacer made up? How about he bellhousing? RS2000 or any cheaper alternatives??

TIA
Clive

dunno the asnwer to you specifics but I posted article within the last 2 weeks about how to make your own bellhousing - maybe worth a read.

if you have welder and can bend up chunk steel, or else build up less chunky steel, it may be doable.

What gearbox are you using? The MT75 box for Left Hand Drive vehicles has the starter motor on the inlet side.
