Recommend me a Rad Fan.....

As the title says....any recommendations a new rad fan for my Zetec install. I have Polo Rad and Raceline Water Rail.
Are the cheapies on E-bay up to the job or should I be looking at something better?
Cheers,
Matt

The ebay jobbies should be fine but you need to make sure you have the right setup (suck or blow, ooh err )

Ebay fans are fine -- just be sure and get a mounting kit.

I slightly regret having spent a fortune on one from Rally Design as it was total overkill for a Pinto which clearly doesn't need 70quids worth of fan!

I seem to remember justifying it at the time by believeing it'll 'come in handy' when I upgrade to a decent engine.

Pics in archive 'radiator upgrade' folder.

Cheers,
James

My view has changed, i had a cheap one from a show (i think it was 45 quid.) and it disintegrated on my trip to morocco. I spent the money on a proper kenlowe fan now, its a different league entirely.

Its a very solid fan, and would definitely recommend it, has proper mounting handles, it does way a bit more than the cheapo ones though. If you dont sit in traffic or go anywhere hot or plan to use the fan much then a cheap one is fine, but if (like me) you spent quite a bit of time with the fan on, then spend the money on a good one first time around.

Peugeot 406 have a good 400W front mounted fan, my car creeps forward just with the fan running (well almost!)
