Arrgghh - oil port sizes

This is really doing my head in
I'm trying to order all the parts for my remote oil filter / accusump assembly, but none of the suppliers seem to like to give out all the specifications for their parts, especially around port sizes. After lots of searching, I'm now more confused as to all the different thread sizes.
So, the question is, does anyone know the standard port size on Mocal takeoff plates and remote filter heads? All I have been able to confirm is that they are 1/2", but is this NPT or BSP? I look to see if these are compatible, but all find is 'yes they fit, but not good for pressure critical systems'. I kind of think my oil pressure is kind of critical?
And where the hell does 'JIC' fit into all this?
Help! I really want to try and order this all in one go if I can.

Oil pressure is only 100psi max so it isn't a job stopper.

Thanks for this. So it's basically an attempt to replace all the 1000 odd standards I'm confused with with a single one. I approve of their thinking, it's just a shame no one is listening - we've just ended up with 1001 standards

Ah, so correct me if I'm wrong, provided it's car/bike engines we are talking about, mixing NPT and BSP will be fine?
