Laymans terms run through for megajolt pleeeeeeeeeeease :)

I have installed 1.8 zetec on bike carbs and megajolt. I have assembled the megajolt and connected it to my pc. Seems to get a signal. The question is... how do i put maps on it and set it up. The online instructions just confuse me. Not sure how to 'flash' the unit or anything.

Maybe i'm missing the obvious, but if someone could help with some easy to understand instructions i would be ever-so grateful

Thanks
Dan

Assuming you have the map ready to write to the MJLJ, and you have installed the firmware.

Open up the configurator, once connected to the powered MJLJ, in the top button bar on the screen, there are two arrows, one up one down, the up arrow will upload the map currently in MJLJ.

If this map works, best to save it to disk, usual microsoft save actions.

The down arrow, loads the map you have on screen to the MJLJ.

If you have downloaded maps from the web etc, use the file open... to pull the map up, then the down arrow to load into MJLJ.

I seem to remember you need to click in one of the bins before the down arrow becomes active......

6 months since I used it, so someone else may come along with better instructions.....

Oh well Dan,

firmware is the software that loaded onto the MJ to make it work (not the map)
the maps are just the settings it uses

the firmware only needs loaded onto the MJ when you first build it or if a new updated version is avalible to fix any bugs/ add features
