You little &^%*£$
Looks like the engine has to come out again as the clutch slave cylinder is leaking from somewhere!
Clutch works, but there's a puddle underneath this morning.
Another day (and more probably) lost

Hi
Are you using the ford item. If so it has not enough travel on it to work in most applications. The kits that are supplied usually mean that a further
spacer needs to be made to bring it closer to the clutch cover and reduce travel. Cant for the life of me remember what the safe distance was for the
ford unit but it was quite small compared to most units that could be used.
It's why the Westfield Duratec cars have constant problems with the clutches. They leak fluid and air enters the system.
Cheers Matt

Its annoyed me quite a bit this one.
I think I will continue with the wiring and plumbing, getting the connections sorted and lengths of cable right, then sunday pull the engine back out
and try and see where its leaking from. Hopefully one of the unions just needs tightening up some more, but I know I tightened them as much as I dared
at the time.
Maybe I will refit them with hydraulic thread sealant. Wont leak then!

Hi Matt,
I am using the saab item, its got 22mm safe travel and I have made a suitable spacer for it so that I am within this safe limit theortically. I only
need 7mm of travel to release the clutch.
I will have to see where the leak is coming from when I get the engine back out again and then go from there.

Still rather annoyed, but there we go I suppose.
