Almost there with MegaJolt....need a little more help to crack it

I have managed to connect to the megajolt.. set up the tps but i can't tell if it's controlling the engine

The RPM guage on the screen doesn't move. It's stuck on 457RPM and deosn't move. The TPS guage is now calibrated and goes up and down 0% to 100%.

Can anyone help?

I'm sure it's wired up right.... unless i'm mistaken

Thanks
Dan

so the engines running then ?

does it make any differnce if you unplug it and just run it on the EDIS4 ?
(should run at a fixed 10 deg on the EDIS alone)

have you got a timming strobe to check the actual advance ?

if the mjl isnt showing rpm then I doubt its controling the engine.

check the pip and saw conection. Are you using sheilded cable for the pip and saw ?

Put a timing light on the running engine - if the timing doesn't change when you change the rpm then you're running on the EDIS limp-home mode, which gives a fixed 10 degrees advance. This probably ,eans that there's something wrong with the EDIS - MJLT wiring.

Its not getting the edis signal, check that you have the PIP and SAW connections the right way around.

Yes the engine is running. Starts and runs ok.

Forgot to mention the ignition advance on the screen doesn't move either. Just the TPS guage.

PIP and SAW wires are sheilded but would make sense if they were backwards.

Will check and try again

Thanks
Dan
