How much to get a Pinto head skimmed??

ALL SORTED now.. Thanks

£25-£30 + vat in Chorley.

I need a pinto head skimming?

Do I look for a local engineers rather than a garage to keep the cost down?

How much should I expect to pay so I know I'm not getting ripped off?

Our local engineer where all the garages take their stuff charges £25 for a skim just to level the face off.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Local engineering firm here in Bude charged me £25 for skimming the head on the Volvo 940... within a thou of it's life (very badly corroded after using the car for a year with a weeping gasket!).

take it direct to a engineering company not garage, although worth asking first as not all general enginering companies will have machine to do it. Cost me £40 to have 25thou skimmed of a zetec head
