1600 x flow rebuild or sell in bits

I am in a bit of a quandray do I rebuild or sell in bits, 1600 x flow engine sheared a bolt on the crank, luckily it was only at ticxkover and didn't do to much damage, crank requires re-grind, also new con rod, main bearings & big ends. Can rebuild to complete engine with all bits fitted & ready to run. Photos in Photo Archive

depends on monye and time?

your signature says you are fitting Zetec - so presumably you are asking if it is worht fixing up the crossflowe prior to selling?

find out how much it will cost to fix it - cran regring, new shells, rod - s/h and figure how much you'd get for the eingine (£ 50 to £ 300 top, latter for a tuned runner) plus the time to do all that.

Which bolt sheared, big end or flywheel?

Problem with the xflow is they aren't especially cheap to rebuild these days but also a damaged one in bits isn't worth a lot (unless it has a decent big valve head?)
