honda cb400 engine
We have a of road go kart, that we use around our farm. It has a flat bed on the back so its quite useful, and is alright to have some fun in aswell.
The problem is it only has some rubbish 200cc engine in it. Which is sort of crap now, not very reliable and not very quick.
Were thinking about putting a 400c engine in from an old bike and came across a local cb400 going cheap. The guy says he doesnt know if it will start
anymore. Now as long as it isnt seized, would it be a problem getting it going again? Im sure there pretty simple, so with giving the carbs a good
clean and some fresh petrol, would it be fairlysimple to get running?
We just want something a bit nippier to have some fun in, without going crazy, and this seems like a good option. Any opinions?

What CB400 engine is it? If it's an old superdream twin or the old 400 four you're looking at something like 35bhp certainly no more than
40bhp. Easy to lose loads of power by bodging up the exost system on these. 400 four had a really nice 4 into one system as standard.
The twin has 3 valves/cylinder and the four only two.

GPZ 500s are cheap as chips, have a 60 BHP twin and are really strong. You should be able to pick one up for not much.
