Rover v8 injection plenum gaskets
Anybody know where I can get the gasket that goes between the inlet manifold and the bottom half of the inlet plenum on a rover v8 with std injection
(its a 4.6 but on std 3.9 plenum and remapped lucas injection)
I got one and its for the later gems manifold, can't find the earlier type....

next, having never mucked about with rover v8's before, is there any trick to installing the dizzy, or is it just line up a pickup tooth
(electronic dizzy) when crank is at tdc and then put the leads on in the right order round from there......I assume so!?

one of the all time best jobs of a rover v8.
the fun bit is that as stated - the dizzie has a key to drive the oil pump so you need to get it timmed close enough. then turn the engie over to
engage into the pump. then accuratly time it up.
I Have the rover PDF on how to do it somwhere I can email it over if required
Check as it is very eay to get it 180 deg out got the tee -shirt on that one!!
Regards
Agriv8
edit to add tdc marks on RV8 can be 6 deg out on the worst engines - I usually check with a socket extension bar down throught the spark plug hole
onto the top of No1
edit 2 2 pages in PDF sat on my destop U2u email address and I will email through
