Rolling Road footage

For any of you rolling road virgins (like I was until yesterday), here's the reality of what happens. Terrifying but soo worth it in the end

Mine is the second (red) Tiger. I didn't watch - my mate (with the blue Tiger) videod it. You'll see me make a sharp exit at 4 mins and 6 seconds! Turn the sound up!

Dead chuffed actually, I was hoping for 150. Cams, port and polish over winter I think

Oh, and what I should say really is that the car is so much nicer to drive. Really smooth delivery, nice and torquey and a nice idle. Well worth the money. Gerald is the man if you run carbs!

When I was having my Powercommander map done pre SVA, I just left it with them for the week (they were doing it in between other jobs). So much better when it was done but I was quite surprised at the half a tank of fuel they'd used (and I was assured that it had only been on the rollers once and not been touched the rest of the time)

Hmmm, Ade was smiling when he assured me that it hadn't been used for shopping, commuting etc

When I had my power commander mapped we used 3/4 of a tank. I had to fill up to get home. We had to keep stopping for a brew to let the RR cool.
If you think thats scarry try listening to an R1 going to 13500rpm... repeatedly. Then be stood next to it when it tries to bounce, jump and dance out of the rollers at 150mph.

I've been to the dyno many times now with my cars over the years. I'm not totally happy with going any distance UNTIL its been on the rollers and run hard a few times.

Just remember every time you accelerate hard through the gears you're giving it just as much stick. Maybe even more due to the road undulations and wind resistance. On the rollers its being run up in a controlled environment with monitoring equipment and usually several on lookers!
