OT - Saxo Clutch Replacement

Have a Clutch assembly to replace in a Saxo VTR (Newer shape)

Clutch is ok its the release bearing that's noisy (known fault i beleive)

Has anybody done one and is there anything i should look out for when doing it ?

Thanks

I had a Saxo VTR (sold it now) and the same thing went - release bearing with rumbling like a good'un. For what the clutch kit costs, replace the lot but it was a very easy job (to pay the local Clutch centre £200!!)

Be ready to replace some of the suspension bits if / when you cant get them off without damage!! Luckily i'd only just replaced drop links and driveshafts so it all came apart nice n easy for the garage (he commented on it)

peice of cake !!

3 hours if you take your time .

my old saxo was 165 bhp +100 nitrous

so regually used to brake gear box's / clutch's

there very weak my advice is replace both gearbox seals where the drive shaft goes in only cost £10 and will save you loads of hassle when you realise there leaking after re assembly .

I managed one in under three hours including cake stops.
