am toying with the idea of loosing the pinto and going with a bike engine....

now...

what would my pinto be worth?
its a 2ltr 205 block, with injection head, the whole engine has been fully rebuilt witha recon head, with a fast road cam, lightend flywheel, new clutch, type 9 gearbox....it also has a stainless 4 branch manifold.....

whats the best bike engine to look for and what else would i need to convert???

and how much???

am now with megajolt so would prefere a bike engine on carbs.....

cheers

That's the exact opposite of Hellfire's yearly april fool thread that we'll no doubt be getting again this year ^_^

I sold my pinto on ebay and got twice what I was expecting, there was a mad bidding war towards the end. Mine was a recon 205 block, injection head, fast road cam, twin 45 webers and I got just over £800, then sold the lightened flywheel & exhaust so over a grand in total.

Have you driven a BEC Barry? Great fun when you're in time-attack-mega-banzai mode, but it can get pretty tiresome pretty quickly if you're just out for a pootle!

I'd stick with the pinto for now and get some use out of it

apart from anything else - if its IVA'd with a pinto on pre-cat emmisions - then all/any future engines will only have to meet the same standard as a the pinto does
