bec or pinto??
am toying with the idea of loosing the pinto and going with a bike engine....
now...
what would my pinto be worth?
its a 2ltr 205 block, with injection head, the whole engine has been fully rebuilt witha recon head, with a fast road cam, lightend flywheel, new
clutch, type 9 gearbox....it also has a stainless 4 branch manifold.....
whats the best bike engine to look for and what else would i need to convert???
and how much???
am now with megajolt so would prefere a bike engine on carbs.....
cheers
barry

That's the exact opposite of Hellfire's yearly april fool thread that we'll no doubt be getting again this year ^_^
I sold my pinto on ebay and got twice what I was expecting, there was a mad bidding war towards the end. Mine was a recon 205 block, injection head,
fast road cam, twin 45 webers and I got just over £800, then sold the lightened flywheel & exhaust so over a grand in total.

Have you driven a BEC Barry? Great fun when you're in time-attack-mega-banzai mode, but it can get pretty tiresome pretty quickly if
you're just out for a pootle!
It's Evolution Baby!

stick with the pinto mate, its simply the right thing to do, if you want i will try and sort out a membership to the P&O owners Club!
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I'd stick with the pinto for now and get some use out of it
apart from anything else - if its IVA'd with a pinto on pre-cat emmisions - then all/any future engines will only have to meet the same standard
as a the pinto does
