Polo Fan Switch?

The fan switch in my Polo radiator comes on at 86 and goes of at 82.

Bit low for my zetec..

Anyone recommend/sell me the correct one to have?

Will I get one at Stoneleigh??

LG,
Steve

I bought a polo radiator yesterday and it didn't come with a fan switch so I'm all ears. Saved me making a thread, coozer

partfinder link
is your friend. You can hunt around until you find numbers that suit you better.

Vehicle: 1990 Volkswagen Jetta GL
Part: Auxiliary Fan Switch
2 Pin, 95-84c Deg.

I think these are on old VW passats in the UK, later models have switches with 3 connectors that can run two fans (come on at different temperatures), but that is more than you need.

Thanks Dunc, apologies Matt, actually hunting around that site has given me a lot of info. Found what I'm looking for, off to the dealers with the part number!

Cheers,
Steve

Steve,

Care to share your findings and final choice? I'm running same engine and was thinking exactly the same thing as you! Rather get it sorted now before I get the damn thing on the road rather than afterwards.

Cheers chap!

I've chosen the 50013 switch that is specified for a 2L Focus (among others)

There's plenty there to choose from with different cut in/out temps.

All M22x1.5 thread.

You know something, come to think of it I reckon I have the original pipe from the Mondy with a switch in it... Whoo dealer, I may be back!

I'll probably buy the new one anyway, that way i know the temp range and while I'm on might wire in an override for peace of mind...

I had the same problem with my 2.0 zetec. The fan cut in at 85 and went off at 78.
I just went down the motor factors and bought one off the shelf that comes on at 95 and goes off at 90.
I just asked for a VW temp switch.

It cost £8
