Making an exhaust

I'm at a point where I need to make an exhaust. I've made one myself before from mild steel that was going to go under my full body conversion (so as it wouldn't be on display it didn't need to look good, and it didn't look great ) So I'd like to make/get made a stainless steel system.

I'm not sure whether to get it made by someone or make it myself. I can't TIG but i've MIG'd stainless before, and I'd just be using it for tacking (and then get someone to TIG it all up)

The main factor in the decision is cost, otherwise I'd go straight for getting someone else to do it. If I got a load of 90 degree bends, straight pipe and a metal cutting bandsaw then I'd still have money left over from the cost of getting it made, and have a bandsaw to add to my collection of tools. But as i have a straight six I can't get collectors off the shelf. 4 into 1 collectors are all over the place, but 3 into 1s aren't last time I checked (i'd do it as 6 to 2 to 1 with 2 collectors) The collectors I made myself were like cones, easy enough to make but looked a bit naff.

If I go for getting it made, are there many places that you can trailer my car there and get it done whilst i wait/same day? (to save 2 trips and 2 trailer hires)

6 cylinder BMWs are a useful source of 3-1 collectors. not particularly pretty, but they work. mine's mild steel tho i think...

i'm sure mines are more like headers than cast, but i've not looked for a while
