GSXR Carb confusion
Could someone please assist a confused builder.
I have a set of GXSR carbs bolted to my Zetec lump and have finally got around to attaching the fuel pipe to it. On close examination of the carbs it
appears to have 3 "ports" to which you could connect the fuel pipe. 1 is made of a robust material that you can easily push a Thick Rubber
fuel pipe to which feeds all 4 carbs at the bottom. The other 2 ( leading to 2 Carbs each ) are a much softer material that folds on its self if you
attempt to push the pipe on.
on reading another topic on this site it appears they could be breathers ??. Can anyone shed some light on this confusion for me
Many thanks

gsxr carbs (at least those on the gsxr1100wp) have fillers at the bottom (a pair) and breathers at the top (more than you would expect).
If you post a picture it would be easiest to be sure that we are all talking about the same carbs.

yup the one at the bottom will be the feed to the carbs
the ones at the top are vents from the float chambers up through the body of the carbs
I once bought a bike that had been plumbed up in reverse of that
it started and ran but pissed fuel everywhere as the floats were of no use. LOL
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it
