Sierra DOHC MT75 box, will it fit a zetec?

I understand there are two different bellhousing patterns and input shafts for mt75 boxes....

Will the one from a sierra DOHC fit a zetec?

Input shaft doesnt look to protrude beyond the bellhousing flange and the two top bolts look to be the wider spaced of the two casing styles, starter on the right hand side looking back the way?

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply, have bought this....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150440002548

I hope its the right box

Now I know Im using a 1.8 silvertop zetec and an MT75 the zetec fitting advice can be a bit more specific (there seem to be almost endless combinations )

From what I gather I can use the standard 1.8 zetec clutch which is also 1" 23 spline?

I need to turn up a 20mm spacer for the sierra release bearing and I need a different clutch release arm?

What starter to I need?

Cheers!

Bargain if its in good nic.

yep same as the two I have in the garage.

starter motor, you want the one that was on that gearbox. Lucas lrs 707. also used on some 1.8cvh sierras. Others fit.

Clutch, as you say 20mm spacer on the bearing. standard clutch fork is fine.

yes clutch plate and cover to match the flywheel 220mm with 23 spline 1" center as found on mk1 Mondeo's and 130 spec escorts ect.

2.0 has a 240mm clutch.

ie some 1.8's used the Mtx75 box and some used the lighter duty Ib5 or what ever it was and these have a smaller shaft and clutch to match.

Yeah, fingers crossed!

Good to hear, looks like the donut and release arm might be missing but I assume thats not a huge issue.

Thats good, Ill have a hunt around for a nice cheap one

Ok, cant be too hard to machine up. I assume its the sierra MT75 release bearing I need to be using.

Ok, Ill inspect it but most likely if its the right centre Ill keep whats on it. Any easy way to tell what clutch is in there without removing the engine from the donor? Its a 1998 Mondeo Mk2.

Im happy enough with the smaller clutch as its going in an 800kg car and wont see more than 150bhp I wouldnt think.

Cheers!

Have a look at the gearbox. There are pics on Burton power website or I think you can tell by the reverse as the mtx75 has the same lift colar to engage.

Yep mt75 bearing and stick the spacer to it.

Links for my own ref:

MTx75: http://www.burtonpower.com/technical_1/mtx75_gearbox.aspx

IB5: http://www.burtonpower.com/technical_1/type_ib5_gearbox.aspx

Release bearing for MT75, came fitted to sierra DOHC, what else?

Starter: Lucas LR707, CVH engine cars (all?)

Spigot bearing I need CT133? What was this fitted to, or does anyone have dimensions?

Thanks for all the help thus far and sorry for all the questions. Im trying to leave both the patient and donor mobile for as long as possible!
