Name this part

Can anyone name this part for me please.

Its from a 96 Nissan micra Auto. it fits in the touque conveter and goes down the middle of the input shaft.

I need to get a replacement as i have bent this by accident.

Its about 10mm dia and a foot long. and has splines on both ends.

Thanks Craig.

tbh your only really going to get that from nissan so take it along and they'll give you the part number and the official name. I've found nissan very reasonable price wise and prefer getting genuine parts from them than the usual rubbish reconditioned stuff from autosave etc

how did you bend it? was it removing the engine and it got the weight of the engine hanging on that shaft?

I'm guessing it's the transmission oil pump drive shaft.

yeah I'd say your spot on as I did read autoboxes need to maintain hydraulic pressure even with the car in neutral which is why they arn't much use on electric motor convertions without connecting a electric external pump that just saps battery power (was looking at doing a electric conversion of my bluebird auto )
