Whats the weight of a type 9 geerbux
As above for the purpose of couriering to a fellow builder. In kgs if possible... Lbs accepted as well
Speelings bade ..gearbox.....

can't remember off the top of my head, but I'll weight one later on if needed

They are approx 35kg with cast bellhousing from memory.

thats nearly more than my engine
just because you are a character, doesnt mean you have character....
for all your bespoke parts, ali welding, waterjet, laser, folding, turning, milling, composite work, spraying, anodising and cad drawing....

If I remember I weighed mine with a 4AGE alloy bell housing at 40kg with some oil in it.
At least I could move that one easily as the T56 on my new engine is 60kg but it's got 6 gears and will need to handle around 2-3 times the
torque.

just weighed mine for you. with oil and bolts in its nearly 43 KG.

just weighed mine...
no Bellhousing, no gearleaver, no oil = 31.6kg
(its actually a BGH HD box, but they can't be that much different)
