Alternative distributor wanted for 205GTI
Faced with an enormous cost from Peugeot for a new distributor for a Peugeot 1.9GTI I wondered if a distributor from another model that uses the XU
series engine might be easier to obtain and substantially cheaper. GSF don't supply them any more.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

For £200 you could get close to a megajolt system including all the bits.

I've got a couple of dizzys in the garage from a 205.
My advice would be buy a second hand one and then send it to H&H Ignition solutions and they will overhaul/rebuild the dizzy and weight the
advance curve to whatever set up your engine is running.
If you do it this way it won't matter if you get a 1600 or a 1900 dizzy.
