It reduces under bonnet heat quite considerably
I have a stainless exhaust but don't think it would make it rust more than normal. It drys out well - even more so with the engine on!
I bought mine from Europa which left me with some to spare for any replacements i need to do.
Tip - soak the wrap in water before applying to the exhaust to make it more workable, also as it drys it will grip the exhaust better.

It definitely doesn't help with not rusting.
It can also hold oil and other flammable fluids right next to the hot header - definitely less than desirable.
See if you can find someone local that can ceramic coat the header. It retains heat as well or better than wrapping, it does not hold oil, it
protects the metal from corrosion, and it looks a million times better. Anyplace that powdercoats should be able to do it.
