megajolt to TPS problems

So here’s the next problem I have.... I now got the engine running and the megajolt talking to the pc and I seem to have a problem with the TPS talking to the MJ.
I have included a screeny of the MJ desktop. I have tried to re-calibrate it using the tools menu but I get an error message telling me to ensure that the tps is not wiring backward, so I have swapped then and still it comes up with the same massage....
Please Help

i cant post the screeny at the moment for some reason. anyway it reads 99% all the time, even with the engine started and the thottle being used

it may sound silly but there is a menu in the settings where you have to tell it if there is a map or tps fitted, from memory i believe that it wont calibrate properly until this is set and flashed on to the chip.

what tps have you used and how is wired? Measured some values already with a ohmmeter?

This is where you need at least three hands

The TPS has three wires, ground, +5v, and signal. Disconnect the signal line to the megajolt. Set your multimeter to a low DC voltage range (probably 20V) and connect it to the ground and signal wires. You _should_ see a low voltage when the throttle is closed are a greater one when it is open. What readings do you get?

ok, i have tried the wire at the tps for voltage and i am getting none from the +5v. so i found one of the spare wires from the MJ was sendding +5v. so i rigged that up to the tps with the same results..... any ideas?

If you're getting some measurable variation on the TPS then it probably isn't knackered. Do you have it wired up like this?

edis is grounded and i just tried wiring the ground from the tps to the MJ and got the same result.

should the Vref (white wire) have a voltage or reading of some kind against the ground?

right, i have taken a +5v from a spare on the MJ, so the sigal from the tps to the mj is 0.69v when closed and 2.19v when open... that should work right????? also should i be worried that where i should be taking the +5v isnt working?

I'll take some measurements on my TPS this morning and let you know.
