2L pinto weight?
i need to lift the 2L pinto out of my donor sierra.
anyone got any idea what sort of weight it is, along with the gearbox?

But seriously though........
I thnik it's around 220kg ish (185 for the engine + 35 for the type 9).
But I'm sure someone will be along with more accurate figures.

I believe it is easier to cut the slam panel and lift the car off the engine.

i would say about 140-150 KGs
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

well according to taht site, the Pinto is around 418lbs(approx 190kg) and the gearbox is 33kg.
So if that's right then I'm not too far off alex .
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

I don't think you can weld up a hernia, even for insurance purposes.

two mates and a scaffold pole lifted mine out, still foooking heavy though even with 3 of us on it.... mind yer toes !!

the engine crane ive just bought will lift 250kg in the furthest position, so should be able to lift it with ease.
PS if anyone is after a 15K mile 2L pinto let me know, as i wil have one for sale by next week.

Well if the second link is correct then I am wrong. According to the engine & tranny info under technical it says the Pinto is 418lbs?? Yet under
the other link in spiderman's post it says 135kg (approx 300lbs!) Confused or what?
If anyone has actually weighed one pleeeease let me know
Whichever, the 250kg crane will lift it no problem

Last week I weight my pinto with gearbox T9. Both was with oil, engine without alternator, manifolds.... weight is 174kg (engine + T9 gearbox) .-)
