Bike Carb Stubs

Does anyone know whether I can fit any other rubber stubs to ZX9 carbs (i.e. will any fit from 600/750 Kwakas). I will be making my own manifold so as long as the rubbers fit over the carbs it will be 'doable'.

Not sure mate, just bought them off here so haven't got them yet. All I know is they are from the ZX9R E

Are you talking about the inlet trumpets or the rubber hose joiners for the manifold?

If it is the hose joiners you mean,I got mine form the E of bay for £6.

It's the hose joiners to the manifold I'm after mate. That's why I'm not too worried about the fittings that go to the head on the bike as I'll make the manifold flange to suit.

Been looking on the bay but can only see 600 and 750 ones cheap. The 9Rs seem to be £20+

If the diameter is the same for the others they are much cheaper.

John,

I just bought some silicone hose joiners from ebay at a cost of £6.

Not sold as fuel resistant but i have been using the same hose for the last 3 years and it hasnt degraded or dropped off ever.

If it does i will just buy some more.

I just bought blue silicone hose.Like i said these four 1.5" pieces have been on both of my pinto's and my zetec.
In 3 years and 2000 miles there has been no deterioration whatsoever.
I just bought the closest size to match the carbs,i think it was 1mm bigger than the carbs.

I don't know where they get it from but bogg bros. used some grey stuff on mine - it might even be worth giving them a call to see if they'll send you a bit of it (unless someone knows a cheaper source)
