VW VR6

Yet another auto gearbox problem with my old VR6 engined Galaxy, I don't want to loose it as it is very useful for large stuff
However, it has a good engine and I was just thinking, would it go in the seven, nice narrow 15 degree V, sounds great, 180 bhp, exhaust on the right injection on the left what do you think

I breath to pi55 my ex wife off (and now my ex partner)

Yes indeed. The auto could be used but would need the original loom etc as it is electronic

Otherwise the alphax conversion kit for the Audi1.8t to MT75 would probably fit (not certain)

And who never would be missed-- who never would be missed!

I looked into this and it needs a v6 manual 2wd box as it has the longer input shaft. They are very very rare and hybrids fetch more than a T5 box.

There is another firm that does a bellhousing for a T9 and a T5 but they are mega dollar.....

I fancy a 20vt

I recon that a bit of work with a grinder, the old VW bell and an MT75 might work

I looked into this about a year ago, to fit a VR6 into a Triumph Herald. I came to the conclusion it wasn't cost effective, compared to other options.
A VR6, is best suited to either FWD, or Mid-engine use.

get the transaxle from a passat and stick it at the back.... engine at the front.... sorted

never seen that done in a severn, but it might give you better weight distribution!

I would have thought that might make the car pretty tail happy.
