Hi guys,

Sorry for the noob question, but i'm just wondering, if i put webers or simliar on my xflow, do i need some kind of management system (megasquirt etc) or will will it run/can be adjusted without needing this?

webers are carbs, so they just need to be setup with the right chokes, jets etc...

oh ok, so it turns out i really am stupid!
so if i ran twin webers, i'd just have 1 throttle body or 2, 1 for each pair?

A. Weber is a twin choke carb 2 x webers = 4 chokes
B. A throttle body is just a tube with a butterfly valve, the fuel is delivered by injectors controlled by an ECU.
My VR6 engined Galaxy has 6 injectors but 1 throttle body
I think you have some basic confusion on terminologies
If you run fuel injection you will need an ECU such as Megasquirt to run the fueling, you could still use the distributor for spark, Webers or bike carbs can be bolted on and used with just the original distributor but will need to be set up for best effect

Thanks for the help, yes i was getting confused between throttle bodies and carbs for some reason....
I'm not planning on having any fuel injection, will just be running the dcoes.
Obviously with this i don't need an ECU.
One of these days i'll get my head around engines!
