tin top exhaust downpipe.
The civic has just started blowing from the front pipe. Unfortunately it appears to be main stealer only at £237 for a front pipe (between manifold
and cat), and do I want it air freight from japan or wait 6 weeks. Since the car was valued at £200 earlier this year, this seems a bit dear!
Bush/Kwik fit can't geat them any other place, and none for the right model on the bay. So ... where to get a quick + cheap front pipe for a
1999 honda civic coupe 1.6LS?
Heeeelllllllppppppppppp

Being that it's got to come off anyway, is it repairable?

Unfortunately its like tissue, so no chance of fixing it. The local breakers in Grimsby haven't got a coupe in.
I have a quote from 247spares (abot £70) which I may go for.

Is it cast or fabricated?
Could someone make you one up?

Its a steel pipe. I did think of having one made or making one, but I can't leave the car overnight as I have 45 mile round trip to/from work
(into the middle of nowhere) to consider, and time is a bit short for the next few days to faf about making one myself. Trawling the used/reclaimed
sites has got the front pipe price down to £47 delivered, so I guess I'm happy with that.
Thanks for all assistance

Have a look at after market stainless items. You might be surprised.
Do you have an exhausts unlimited near you?
