Couple of R1 Questions
just a couple of quick questions as i may get to spend some time on the car this weekend
its an r1 5pw
1. Does anyone know what size O ring goes on the end of the water pipe which passes through the sump to the water pump?
2. I think im going to have to take the sump off I have had a quick google and cant see any R1 sump gaskets so do people use somthing like uiversal
blue liqid gasket?

Ive got an R1 5VY, and it uses a sump gasket, so id presume the older ones do too?
got mine from a local bike shop

5PW definitely has a sump gasket - I've taken if off enough times to know. If you apply a thin layer of oil to the gaskets and crankcase / sump
faces before re-assembly you can usually re-use them a few times.
